Mangodi (Split yellow gram Vadi)

Mangodi curry is very popular in India especially in North India. Mangodi is very easy to make. In Rajasthan people used to dehydrate  the lentils and vegetables and use them when necessary . Rajasthan is a dried area so many time people find the difficulty for vegetables. 
  

Ingredients :  Yellow moong dal (Split yellow gram)500 gram

Asafoetida (Hing) 1 Tablespoon

Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tablespoon

Oil for greasing

Method : Soak the Yellow moong dal for 6 to 8 hours. Drain and make a smooth paste without using water with the help of a grinder. Add the Asafoetida and the ginger garlic paste. Put the paste in a piping bag . Grease the plate in which you want to make the Mangodies. You can use the clean  plastic mate also for making the Mangodi. Dry in the sun for 2 days. After 2 days drying Mangodi is ready..

Green Chutney


Ingredients : Coriander Leaves  : 1 bunch
Capsicum : 1 Whole
Green Chillie : 3-4 Pieces
Garlic : 2 Cloves (Optional)
Green Sour Mango 1  or Lemon
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Cumin seeds 1 pinch
Roasted peanut 1/2 cup
Ice cubes 1-2
Salt to taste

Method : Wash the coriander leaves with cold water. cut the capsicum and remove the seeds. Peel the skin of the mango and  blend all the ingredients (except lemon) in the blender and blend well. Chutney is ready.
you can have this chutney with chapati, rice , sandwich or with anything you want.
If you are using lemon squeeze the lemon at the end of the chutney.

Coconut jelly Dessert


 Ingredients : Agar agar Powder 1 tablespoon

 Coconut Milk 250 ml

Young coconut Water 500 ml

Sugar 4 tablespoon

Mixed fruits 1 cup (small dicey cut) 


Method : Mix  the agar agar powder into the coconut water and mix well with the help of a whisker. Switch on the flame and put it for a boil. When the coconut water began to hot mix the coconut milk and sugar. Now give the mixer a good boil. After boiling add the mixed fruits. And pour in a flat surface plate. Keep it in the room temperature for Sometime. Finally Keep in the refrigerator cut in your desired shape and enjoy the yummy chilled dessert. 

Healthy Mouth Freshener


In India mostly People love to have some mouth freshener after meal. The other name of the mouth freshener is Mukhwas. Usually it helps to digest the food. There are many varieties of mouth freshener. Today we will prepare one very simple and healthy mouth freshener. 

Ingredients :  Fennel seeds 1 cup
White or black sesame 1/2 cup
Flax seed 1/2 cup
Grated and roasted coconut 1/2 cup
Chaman bahar 1 teaspoon (Optional)

Method : Clean the fennel seeds. Put a pan in the burner put the flax seeds and roast them. When the flax seed will began to pop up in the pan it means they are done. Remove them from the pan and keep aside. Now  put the fennel seeds in the pan , you can roast the sesame seeds and fennel seeds together or can roast them separately. Finally mix all the roasted ingredients in a big bowl and if you have Chaman Bahar you can add otherwise it is optional.
Healthy mouth freshener is ready.

Spicy Fried Rice with Buttermilk




 Ingredients: Rice 2 Cup (Cooked)

Onion: 1 Finely chopped

Tomato : 3 Finely Blended

Garlic: 2 cloves chopped 

Potato: 1 Small dicey cut 

Carrot: A small piece dicey cut

Cauliflower: A little small cut

Capsicum: 1/2 Finely chopped

Lemon: 1

Green Chilli: 1 finely Chopped

Oil: 2 Tablespoon 

Ghee: 2 Tablespoon

Cumin seeds: 1 Teaspoon

Red chillies Powder: 1 Tablespoon

Turmeric Powder: 1 Teaspoon 

Garam Masala: 1 Teaspoon 

Salt to taste

For ButterMilk - 1 cup curd

1 teaspoon oil

roasted cumin powder 

Cumin seeds and mustard seeds

Salt to taste

Method: Semi Boil the potato and Carrot. Heat the pan. Put oil and ghee in a pan. Now put Cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds began to pop up add the onion. Meanwhile, we will make the puree of the tomatoes. When the onion becomes slight brown finely chop the garlic and add with the onion. Now put the semi boiled potatoes, cauliflower and carrots. Let the vegetables little cooked. Now add the tomato puree to the vegetables. then add the capsicum to the puree. When the puree will become thicker add the salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and the garam masala and mix them with the help of a spatula.  Now add the rice and squeeze the lemon juice. Garnish Coriander leaves. This is very easy and yummy fried rice. It tastes better with buttermilk.

Plain Buttermilk: In a deep bowl put the curd, add salt. Now add salt and pour 1 cup of water. If you like the buttermilk thinner you can add little extra water. now take a whisker or you can blend in a blender.  Pour in a glass, add some crushed ice cubes. Put in the roasted cumin powder. In a small pan heat, the oil put the cumin and the mustard seeds. when the seeds began to pop up pour the seasoning into the glass. Enjoy the Buttermilk with the rice.
