It is an excellent source of healthy omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, these may help prevent different types of cancer cells from growing.Consuming flaxseeds can reduce the risk of developing breast cancer by 18 per cent. Flaxseed is a good source of protein. flaxseed is rich in antioxidants. Flaxseed is commonly used to improve digestive health or relieve constipation.Consuming flaxseeds daily can be beneficial for people suffering from constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.flaxseed may help reduce joint pain and stiffness. 

Flax seeds are a great source of thiamin, a B vitamin that helps convert nutrients into energy. Flaxseeds are also rich in potassium, a nutrient that can help to ease tension in blood vessel walls, which helps further lower blood pressure. The fatty acids in flaxseeds also help in keeping the skin moisturised and smooth. Moreover, it can even repair damaged hair, prevent hair fall, eczema and dandruff.

People suffering from low blood pressure, low blood sugar level, constipation, diarrhoea, hormonal issues and the bleeding problems should be careful before including these seeds in their diet.  It might also cause side effects such as bloating, gas, stomachache, and nausea. Fenugreek



Fenugreek is widely known for its culinary properties and also as traditional remedy for a number of conditions. It has been used traditionally in India, China, Middle East for thousands of years to treat many ailments and conditions. Be it adding flavour to your pickle or a distinct taste to your curry, methi or fenugreek seeds found in almost every Indian kitchen. It have diverse uses and many incredible health benefits.
Methi seeds improve appetite and digestive power. Methi seeds are effective in controlling diabetes and improving cholesterol and blood pressure.  Methi seeds help reduce hair fall, grey hairs and uric acid levels (gout). 
They also help treat anaemia by increasing blood levels and detoxify blood.
 Methi seeds help relieve Kapha disorders like cough, asthma, bronchitis, chest congestion and obesity. Fenugreek seeds are rich in vitamin E and are added as preservatives in pickles.
Dried leaves of the fenugreek are used for flavoring meat, fish and vegetable dishes.

Diarrhea, indigestion, heartburn, gas, bloating and urine odor are other possible side effects of fenugreek.Fenugreek seeds can cause internal bleeding.
Having methi water may also help people with high cholesterol lower their cholesterol levels.
Drinking fenugreek water can help you deal with fatigue, sickness, and headaches.
If you're expecting a child, do not have methi water.

Maha chanok Mango


 Maha Chanok Mango is a high-quality mango from Thailand.  It is sometimes spelt 'Maha Chinook' or 'Maha Shanook'.Thailand, Southeast Asia and India mainly export the Mahachanok Mango to Japan and Europe, making them a lesser-known variety in the United States.  This Mango is longer in shape. This mango is very sweet and aromatic. Mahachanok Mangoes are great for eating fresh out of hand. The skin of the Mango which is smooth and thin turns from green colour to yellowish-orange when ripening, and there is often an attractive pink-red blush on one side. They have a long shelf life and turn yellow with gorgeous pink blush on much of the fruit when It is exposed to the sun.  Enjoy  this yummy seasonal fruit.

Leftover Rice Fritters (Chawal ke Pakode)




Ingredients : Leftover Rice – 1 1/2 cup
Yogurt - 1/2 Cup
Medium Onion finely chopped – 1/2
Ginger grated – 1/2 inch
Garlic cloves finely chopped – 2
Green chilies 2 (Finely Chopped)
Coriander leaves (Finely Chopped)
Red Chile powder 1/2 Tsp
Corn starch – 2 Tbsp
Salt – to taste
 Oil – for frying


Method : In a large bowl combine all the ingredients except oil, mash and mix well. Once the oil is hot, drop the fritters in oil about 7 to 8 depending on the size of your pan. Leave this  for about 2 – 3 minutes. You can  make fritters of your desired shape . Rice Fritters are now ready. Serve hot and enjoy.

Carom Seeds (Ajwain)


 Carom seeds which is known as Ajwain in India is an essential spice that has been used in almost every Indian household. Ajwain or carom seeds can help promote weight loss by boosting your metabolism, improve digestion, and treat acidity. Lehsooni Palak (Spinach Garlic Curry)






Ingredients : For Palak puree:

  • 3 cup water (for boiling)
  • 1 bunch Palak / spinach
  • 3 cup cold water (for rinsing)
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 green chillie

for curry:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 pods cardamom
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin / jeera
  • 1 tsp kauri Methi
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Besan / gram flour
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

for seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp Ghee (clarified Butter)
  • clove garlic (sliced)
  • 1 dried red chillie
  • ½ tsp Kasoori Methi

 Method : In a large Bowl get 3 cup water to  boil. Add 1 bunch Palak into the boiling water. Allow boiling for 2 minutes or until Palak blanches well. Drain off the Palak and drop into ice-cold water. this helps to retain the green colour of Palak. Now transfer the blanched Palak into the blender. Add 1 inch ginger, 1 clove garlic and 3 chillie. Blend to smooth puree without adding water. Keep aside. In a large pan heat 1 tbsp butter and sauté 1 bay leaf, 2 pods cardamom, 1 inch cinnamon, 1 tsp cumin and 1 tsp Kasoori Methi until it turns little brown. further, sauté 1 onion until the colour changes slightly. Now add 1 tbsp Besan and sauté until Besan releases its smell .now add ¼ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala and ¾ tsp salt. sauté until spices turn aromatic. furthermore, add Palak puree and sauté slightly. Now add ½ cup water and mix well adjusting consistency as required. simmer for 3 minutes or until flavors are absorbed well. now add the lemon juice and mix well.to prepare tempering, heat 2 tbsp ghee and sauté 6 clove garlic until it turns golden brown. also, add 1 dried red chillie and ½ tsp Kasoori Methi. sauté slightly. Lehsooni Palak is ready. Enjoy it with rice or chapati.

Somtam (Thai Green Papaya Salad)


 Ingredients - 

2 tablespoons roasted peanuts

1-10 red elevated chilies

5 little (or big 2-3) garlic cloves

1 1⁄2 tablespoons palm sugar

2 -long beans (or green beans), cut into 2.5cm (1 inch) pieces

4 cherry tomatoes, cut

2 tablespoons new lime juice

 2 teaspoons salt

1⁄2 medium green papaya, stripped and destroyed

1 carrot, Julien

Method - 

In a Frying pan, toast the peanuts over a medium hotness until brilliant brown. Remove from the pan and set aside

In  a pestle and mortar coarsely pound the chilies and garlic together add the palm sugar, beans and tomatoes. Then Squeeze the lime juice.

Now add the green papaya and carrot. Pound again and throw to consolidate. The taste should be sweet and salty in perfect balance, with a sharp, sour and spicy tang.

Decorate plate with green leaves and sprinkle over the roasted peanuts.
